Two Massachusetts residents, father and son, recently obtained a settlement with a value in excess of $20,000 from the law firm of Wolpoff & Abramson of Rockville, Maryland. The men claimed in their federal lawsuit, brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, that Wolpoff improperly sued the father for the son's alleged debt, then attached the son's real estate even though they had not obtained a judgment against him. The men were represented by Attorney Kenneth D. Quat of
Quat Law Offices.
