Class Action Filed Against Wilson Consolidation Services

Quat Law Offices has filed a complaint in federal court on behalf of a Concord man who alleges he was harrassed and subjected to other misconduct by Wilson Consolidation Services, Inc. of Lakeville, Massachusetts in attempting to collect an alleged consumer debt. Included in the complaint are class action claims on behalf of other Massachusetts consumers who received correspondence from Wilson stating that upon payment their accounts would be "removed" from credit reports, which is not something that a debt collector does or can do.

Cambece Settles with Attorney General

According to the Boston Globe, J.A. Cambece Law Office has reached a settlement with the Massachusetts Attorney General with respect to its debt collection practices. Among other things, the settlement requires Cambece to alter several of its practices and to pay a fine and restitution to consumers. Read the Globe article.
